Privacy Policy

In order for Advocate Money Management LLC (“AMM”) to provide the best services to our clients, we must collect, use, and potentially disclose some of our clients’ Personally Identifiable Information or Protected Health Information.

I) Personally Identifiable Information

AMM will implement and maintain reasonable security measures to protect its clients’ Personally Identifiable Information.  The measures implemented will assist in reasonable security measures that will protect Personally Identifiable Information from unauthorized access, acquisition, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure.

Some of the Personally Identifiable Information AMM may collect includes:

  • Client names and addresses;
  • Email addresses;
  • Credit card details;
  • Bank account numbers;
  • Social security numbers;
  • Tax identification numbers;
  • Dates and places of birth;
  • Income tax records
  • Insurance records;
  • Account access information;
  • Personal Identification Numbers (PIN);
  • Driver’s license numbers; and
  • Relevant passwords to access records

II) Personal and Protected Health Information

Protected Health Information is personally identifiable health information that relates to an individual’s health condition(s).  This information will be protected as all other Personally Identifiable Information and within the requirements of state and federal law.

Some of the Protected Health Information AMM may collect, with the client’s consent, includes:

  • Explanation Of Benefits (EOB)
  • Hospital and doctor records
  • Medical bills and statements

III) Collection of Information

AMM will only collect Personally Identifiable Information and Protected Health Information from its client(s) that is reasonably necessary to effectively provide agreed upon services, and the relevant information will only be used to perform said services.

IV) Notice of Breach

If AMM reasonably believes that any of the Personally Identifiable Information or Protected Health Information has been acquired by an unauthorized person, AMM will notify the owner of the information, in writing, of any such breach of security of the data immediately following the discovery of such breach.

V) Retention of Information

AMM retains a record of all client information obtained as a result of providing services to clients.  This information will be retained indefinitely unless the client(s) request AMM to dispose of their information.  The request for disposal must be in writing and signed by the client(s).

VI) Disposal of Information

Upon request or as AMM sees fit, AMM will dispose of materials, paper or electronic, that contain Personal Information.  Disposal would render the information unreadable, unusable, and undecipherable.

VII) Changes to Privacy Policy

AMM reserves the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time without prior notice.  Any such update or modification will be effective immediately upon publishing the updated Privacy Policy to our website.  Active clients will be informed of any changes through an email or other written communication.

VIII) Disclaimer

This Privacy Policy is not a contract but merely a policy that AMM has implemented.
